How To Play
Fantasy Punter is a fantasy horse racing competition from Twist Digital Media, the creators of GG.COM, which allows you to pick your own stable of horses and follow them across the competition period.
How To Play
- The objective of Fantasy Punter is simple. Select your own stable of horses and follow them across the period of the competition.
- Each time one of your horses runs, if it wins or is placed (2nd or 3rd) you gain points (SP points for a win, ¼ SP points for a place).
- At the end of the competition, the player with the most points wins.
Competition Period
- Fantasy Punter runs between 30th October 2009 through to 24th April 2010 inclusive.
Prize
- The winner will receive a crate of limited edition champagne.
- At the end of each month, the player with the highest positive movement in points will receive a bottle of limited edition champagne.
- Champagne prizes are only available for distribution within the UK and Ireland.
Method of Play
- Once you are registered and logged in, you will be prompted to select your ten horses to follow. If you get distracted, click view stable:
- In the box provided, start to type in the name of the horse you want to add and probable matches begin to appear in a list.
- Select the horse you want on the list and click "Add to Stable"
- Your selected horse is now added to your stable.
- Once selected, clicking the name of the horse opens up a window with more details on that horse.
- If you wish to remove a horse, click the [X Remove] icon to the left of its name.
- Repeat until you have selected ten horses.
- Confirm your stable by clicking "Save Selections"
- A stable must be selected in one visit to the Fantasy Punter site. A partial stable can not be submitted.
- Each time one of your horses runs, on the basis of a one point level stake, you pick up the SP points returned for a win.
- A non-runner is counted as void.
- A horse which runs, but does not win loses you a point.
- The competition is played accepting that in every case the winning horse was first past the post, regardless of later rulings.
Swapping Selections
- During the season you may swap up to three of the horses in your stable.
- Points gained by a horse which is swapped are retained.
- A new horse will only start earning you points from the date it is selected.
Alerts
- Against each horse in your stable, you will see a tick box under a heading which says "Alert".
- When this box is checked you will be sent an email, to your registered email address, each morning whenever that horse has a race.
- Unchecking the box will cease further emails.
- All alert emails will stop upon conclusion of the competition.
Fantasy Punter Leaderboard
- The leaderboard will be updated on a live basis once the results of events are known.
- The player with the most points gained will be at the top of the leaderboard.
